Wipro Shares Surges 5% Amid Strong Q3 Numbers
After reporting strong Q3 numbers, shares of Wipro were up by 5% in today's trading session to ₹324.55 apiece on the BSE.
During the December quarter, the company reported a net profit of ₹3,354 crore, a growth of 24% year-on-year (YoY), while revenue from operations were up by 0.5% to ₹22,319 crore. Profit after tax (PAT) increased by 5% on a sequential basis whereas revenue increased gradually by 0.1% in Q3FY25.
The investor sentiment was also driven by contracts touching $3.5 billion during the quarter. Large deals surged by 6% to $961 million as compared to corresponding quarter a year earlier.
Virat Jagad, Technical Analyst at Bonanza said, “The 21-day EMA positioning above the 50-day EMA confirms sustained bullish momentum, while the RSI trending upward adds to the positive outlook. Collectively, these technical indicators point to a strong bullish trend for Wipro, suggesting further upward movement in the near term.”
Notably, Wipro and Tech Mahindra were the top gainers on the Nifty 50 index. Shares of Tech Mahindra soared by 2.4% to ₹1,725.10 on the BSE.
Shares of Wipro ended at ₹317.70, up 2.78% in today’s trading session.
